MyRedundancyRights.co.uk provides free, clear, and confidential guidance on your UK employment rights, statutory redundancy pay, and what to do next. Updated April 2026 to reflect the Employment Rights Act 2025.
Use our statutory redundancy pay calculator to check exactly what you are owed based on your age, salary and years of service. The weekly pay cap for 2025/26 is £643, and the maximum statutory redundancy pay is £19,290. Our calculator also works out your notice pay and holiday pay entitlement.
Not sure if your redundancy is legal? Our redundancy legality checker asks 8 simple questions and gives you a personalised GREEN, AMBER or RED result with clear next steps based on current UK employment law.
Every UK employee with two or more years of continuous service has the right to statutory redundancy pay, a minimum notice period, and a fair selection process. Your employer must genuinely consult you before making a final decision — they cannot simply announce your redundancy as a done deal.
If fewer than 20 employees are being made redundant, there is no fixed consultation period but it must be meaningful. For 20–99 employees the minimum is 30 days; for 100 or more it is 45 days.
Whether your redundancy seems fair, unfair, or you have been offered a settlement agreement, our personalised action plan walks you through exactly what to do, including free letter templates you can download and send today.
Our employer redundancy hub provides HR managers and business owners with a step-by-step process guide, compliance checker, multi-employee pay calculator, and professionally drafted letter templates to help you carry out redundancies lawfully.
